Listen Closely: Tales and Fragments

Join us on October 1 for a musical adventure in the realm of fairy tales. We will explore both the darkest and the most joyful aspects of the human experience, as revealed by tales of fantasy.

This multicultural program features composers from Czechoslovakia, Germany, Hungary, Japan, Thailand, and the US, including three young, living composers. We're especially thrilled to be presenting the New York premiere of Prach Boondiskulchok's phenomenal song cycle, Goose Daughter! The text is taken from the work by the same name of Chinese British Poet Sarah Howe.
