Boston New Music Festival

  • Club Oberon 2 Arrow Street Cambridge, MA, 02138 United States (map)

Ariadne is Melania Trump in Matti Kovler's The Drumf and the Rhinegold with Lidiya Yankovskaya and the Juventas New Music Ensemble at The Oberon in Boston.

On Wednesday, November 2, Juventas New Music Ensemble will present the Boston New Music Festival Kickoff Concert at the Oberon in Cambridge. This performance is an opportunity to hear a sampling of the 30+ Boston-based organizations whose mission is specific to presenting contemporary repertoire, and will feature circus arts, indie opera, the latest in contemporary instrumental performance, and (just in time for the election), a new work starring Donald Trump's hair. It is time that Boston's new music organizations join forces, share resources, and proclaim our significance in shaping the future of music. Join us in celebrating music that will define today and tomorrow!

Tickets for this performance are $10 to $15, and can be purchased here

In addition to what are guaranteed to be fantastic performances by ten different ensembles, we will host a Launchpad event at the very nearby Grafton St. Pub at 6:00pm. This event offers food, drinks, prizes, and an opportunity to mingle with members of our community. Cost of admission is $30, with all proceeds supporting the full-scale Boston New Music Festival we plan to present in the fall of 2017.

Lastly, we invite everyone to stick around after the performance for a talkback with composers, musicians, and administrative staff. This is bound to be a truly enjoyable evening, and I would love to see you there!
