Beginner's Ear: The Voice

  • Kula Yoga Project 28 Warren Street New York, NY, 10007 United States (map)

Beginner’s Ear offers an immersive listening experience that opens the ear to both silence and sound. Through guided meditation, participants reach a deep state of communal stillness out of which a live musical performance unfolds, visceral and immediate.

In the beautiful 4th floor loft studio of Kula Yoga, the meditation will be led by Thomas Droge, founder of the Pathfinder Institute. Ariadne Greif, a critically acclaimed soprano, takes listeners on a 30-minute journey through mesmerizing works for voice and lute.

The event wraps up with a brief conversation led by New York Times writer and Beginner's Ear founder Corinna da Fonseca-Wollheim.

No prior experience of meditation or classical music required. Seating options include floor chairs and yoga mats -- yes, you can stretch out on the floor at this concert!
