Exercises on The Presence of Odradek is a live, online experimental piece that combines dance and opera with interactive and virtual reality technology. Playing with Kafka’s The Cares of a Family Man and with poems by Avot Yeshurun, this piece explores how art can give presence to an absence. Improvisations by singers around the world and Lotte Lenya’s telling of Kafka are combined with live performances in a beautiful, enigmatic, and haunting score.
