A special program curated by Ariadne Greif of music from the 1600’s in Italy about both Mary and Mary Magdalene, with dramatic contrafacta much more operatic than sacred, music that pulls so hard on folk melodies that it is barely concert music, mysterious novelties, and a good double dose of drama.
